MEET MAJOR WHEELER
Major Wheeler is a hard hitting piano-rock trio formed in 2019 combining the talents of Matt Nelson (Piano/Lead Vocals), Jeremy Miller (Bass) and Mike Martin (Drums). Major Wheeler has collectively found their signature sound and offers something different to their fans by creating and sharing cover songs and original music that is unmistakably unique. MATT NELSON
Keys and Vocals
Matt grew up playing piano. After frustrating several teachers with his non-traditional playing approach, he was introduced to a teacher who specialized in improv, blues, and jazz. In high school he started playing in bands, where he first met and played with Jeremy Miller. In college he performed with several successful bands and toured. After a long break and a few kids, he returned to music as a solo act before forming Major Wheeler.
JEREMY MILLER
Bass
As a child, Jeremy was abandoned by his parents. They thought they were dropping him off at the local police station, but in their drunken haze actually dropped him off at their local Guitar Center. There he grew, surrounded by what he came to know as his family. He never learned how to interact with normal humans, but he sure can lay down some solid funky bass lines.
MIKE MARTIN
Drums
Mike brings over 30 years of drumming experience to the band. He previously played in several rock / pop cover bands and recorded for surf rock artists before joining Major Wheeler. He looks forward to sharing his love of live music.
